Ancient Antioch is the Southern Anatolian region to which the Romans had given the name Cilicia. For more detailed information see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adana. The kilim on the other hand was woven in the first decade of the XX century: made in two parts and then finely woven together. The reason for this was to be able to use a smaller loom which could be transported more easily. Fantastico ed entusiasmante. Rarissima iconografia e bordura deliziose. Peccato che la sua larghezza (kelleghi) ne renda difficile la collocazione negli ambienti moderni.
