Attualmente il tappeto si trova in Turchia per un intervento di restauro conservativo. Questa fotografia si riferisce al tappeto originale senza nessun intervento.
Anche dalla foto si vede che trama ed ordito sono perfettamente conservati, garanzia questa della perfetta riuscita del restauro in atto che ad opera completata renderà il tappeto ancora fruibile per altri cinquant'anni anche ste...leggi tuttoso al pavimento. Come appassionato però non posso fare a meno di manifestare la mia stima per chi come il sig. Gino sa apprezzare epoca ed iconografia e vuole giustamente proporre il tappeto a parete come opera d'arte.

L'esemplare ha certamente subito l'ingiuria del tempo, ma mostra anche gli agganci storici con i tappeti "a drago" d'alta epoca. Appeso farebbe ancora un'ottima figura.

Bello, originale e certamente di alta epoca. Peccato che il vello, visto così, appaia in precario stato di conservazione.
