The carpet, as the IndoSarouk name clearly distinguishes, is an Indian artifact from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, is considered qualitatively superior to Iranian Sarouks, and it is possible to distinguish it from the Iranian manufacture for the extraordinary quality of wools other than the Australian used in the best Persian artifacts. The Indian manufacturing quality of tha...leggi tuttot era was decidedly in competition with the Iranian one, and even though it never reached the quantitative levels, it already possessed a century-old tradition of refined beauty. As you can see from the colors and drawings in the open field, even the comparison with the most beautiful Mahageran is in favor of this carpet.

We define the ancient carpets before the war of 1915/18. They have hand-spun wool dyed with vegetable colors, animals or minerals. In some rare cases have been used, limited to certain colors, the first aniline dyes. Saruk rugs, knotted with vegetable colors until 1930, are included in this group
