Mahajeran These are those Sarouk knotted after 1880 and before 1900 with a very fine and compact knotting, they are younger than the Ferahan carpets known as Sarouk Ferahan, as Ferahan or as Sultanabad, but they are much finer than the Saruk knotted in the early 1900s. 900. They have the highest fleece of the Ferahan and very bright wool, usually their dominant color is burnished antique pink or i...leggi tuttontense blue. The drawing in an open field with large empty spaces makes softer ramages stand out on the background color compared to the Ferahan stylization. Historically they represent a moment of transition between manufacturing for internal use or conceived as a gift to foreign notables, dignitaries, ambassadors, and the subsequent moment of the very first commercial exports; the latter gave Western taste a very bright, slightly higher shaved fleece. From a current perspective I would define this manufacturing as "fusion", meaning the term in its most positive sense; The best of two cultures in the best spirit of collaboration.
